App description: "If you liked the Astro Wars or Galaxy Invader conversions, you're gonna love this!"
Nominated for Game of the Week on Toucharcade.
One of the best tabletop games from the 80's. Some would say on par or better than Astro Wars.
"A must for retro game lovers!"

This is an accurate conversion from that retro vintage classic from the early 1980's brought forward to the 21st Century. Scramble by Grandstand and Astro Command by Epoch, Radio Shack and many other companies in the 80's are all the same game but in a different shell with a different name.
Every detail of the original tabletop classic has been faithfully emulated. All the sounds - that flickering vacuum fluorescent display, and all those waves of attacks - its all here! It is an almost perfect replica. We would say its 97% accurate. Some things have been altered slightly due to the nature of mobile devices. Our Astro Wars and Galaxy Invader retro emulations have been enjoyed well and this too has had the same treatment. We have also listened to feedback from past games and added zoom/landscape mode for iPhones.

Travel back to your childhood with this vintage retro arcade classic!

Very pleased this game came out last night. Its a great recreation of an old tabletop game from the early early 80's. Its great as it also goes to a landscape mode (not just portrait like the others hes done). Also its icade compatible

I remember my friend had this as a kid, was very jealous indeed ! The sounds/graphics are all recreated really well. I'm a big fan of this devs work, Astro Wars/Frogger Top are two more tabletop games hes created prevoiusly which are great (and many others)

I spoke to the dev and hes thinking of quitting iOS development so lets help change his mind and get some sales on this !

Its a recreation of those early early 80's games all the kids used to have, used to suck the life out of batteries. Then a year or two later home computers 'arrived' and these tabletop games seemed to disappear.

It was a tabletop version of 'Scramble' (but it does play a bit different from the Scramble you may be used to) and in other regions apparently it was known as Astro Command.

Other games this dev has done are...

Astro Wars
https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/astro-wars/id665882635?mt=8

Frogger Top
https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/frogger-top-tabletop-classic!/id739985784?mt=8

Again these are recreations of classic old tabletop games. If the app info doesnt load for you search for it on the app store as you should be able to find it. These are old classics which give you great nostalgic memories (if you remember when they originally were out)

It's called Scramble but there was also a different Scramble. Confusing I know. Grandstand used the name Scramble, even though it isn't a port from the original arcade machine called Scramble. Very similar principle though.
