Battleheart is easily the best out of this sub-genre.

I think OP is looking for free games. :P

EDIT: I realized i needed to be helpful on this post so...

Fantasy Adventure - a Battleheart clone that plays well, and doesnt seem to have a paywall compared to other freemium games of this genre.

Exact-Psience My 2014 Top 10 Games of the Year: Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, Hearthstone, VVVVVV, Battleheart Legacy, Wayward Souls, Bug Heroes 2, Powerpuff Girls Defenders of Townsville, Deep Loot, Monument Valley, Bioshock Honorable Mentions: Traps N Gemstones, Bardbarian, Goblin Sword

Haha yeah preferably free i actually DLed that, but haven't gotten around to it!! I have Honorbound, Brave Frontier, Dungeons of Evilibrium, and the few I mentioned in the topic all downloaded, but some are certainly more fun than others haha Never really found enjoyable RPGs that didn't have huge pay to win ideas

I think the restriction in controls to drawing a line from a character to a target hurts the actual gameplay as opposed to how, in a number of clones, you can also tap a character and then the target. It makes Battleheart more of an iPad-centric game.
