Leo’s Fortune - A platformer from the team behind Dark Nebula and Devilīs attorney

Hi everyone,

I thought Iīd post a bit about our new game Leoīs fortune that will be out on Thursday this week. My name is Anders Hejdenberg and Iīm the game designer/artist in the four person team (1337 & Senri) who put this title together.

Itīs a premium game, just like our previous titles. And just like in our previous titles, there are no in-app purchases.

Hereīs a trailer:

Looks great, but it seems to be more a 'runner' than a platformer ? (eg left/right/jump buttons)

Do you have control over your character as in left/right ?

We wanted to create a platformer that wasnīt "dumbed down" for mobile devices, so you have the same freedom of movement as you would in a normal platformer for consoles.

You can move Leo left and right, and you also have an inflate and dive ability. If you inflate Leo while on the ground, heīll bounce off it like a jump. If you inflate him while running up a wall, heīll bounce off the wall. If you hold the inflate while in mid air, heīll float like a balloon. You can also use the inflate feature to wedge yourself in tight spaces, push objects, or to activate levers.

The dive button can be used in slopes to pick up speed (like in Tiny wings), and it can also be used while in air to quickly smash down onto objects like trampolines, seesaws or objects that require force to be tilted. It is also quite useful for speed runs when you want to land quickly on platforms without having to wait for gravity to set in.

Weīve designed the levels to so that the player needs to make clever use of Leoīs ability to both inflate and dive. Itīs not just full on action all the time, there are also plenty of physics-based puzzles to solve throughout the game.
