App description: ** The critically acclaimed dungeon crawler finally comes to iOS **

There are dark places in the world inhabited by evil denizens. Places filled with danger and foreboding where no ordinary man would dare to journey. However, there are a few who are willing to risk death in the name of good, in the name of justice, in the name of.. valuable loot!

Hack, Slash, Loot is a single-player turn-based dungeon crawler. Take control of a lone hero and explore sprawling dungeons, fight dangerous monsters, and most importantly, plunder valuable treasures.

Hack, Slash, Loot features thousands of items, monsters, and dungeon features, and with a new dungeon created every game you can be sure that no two plays will ever be the same. Boasting easy to master controls you'll be adventuring in no time, but there is still enough depth to challenge the most hardened of adventurers.

Avatars look too small, but this looks great overall.

It is a very strange Appstore entry - it really deserves something a bit more flashy as I actually really quite like the game on Steam. It's a decent, simple roguelike with slightly too much reliance on RNG. Definitely worth picking up for the fans though!

Well i hope the RNG is improved by stats/equips similar to the pen and paper RPG formulae?

It's been so long since I've played Pen and Paper, but I can compare the equip system to Cardinal Quest 2 - simplified but still effective. It's definitely a flawed game and I don't think it will be for everyone but I love it despite that

Sorry i didnt mean Knights of Pen and Paper... I meant the original RPGs played with a pen, and on paper, together with d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20 (etc.) dice like in Dungeons and Dragons or Macross.

Haha, sorry lol! Definitely not as complex as that then - I would desperately love to see something with that kind of depth on iOS, especially with a roguelike formula!

So anyone knows it it`s good or is this just another quick (cheap) port to cash-in?

Update:

Asked the Developer how much of a Port the Game is or if it was just a copy & past work. Here is his answer:

Hi Pawel,

Gameplay and content wise the mobile version is the same as the PC version. In fact it has a few very minor additions that had to be cut from the PC version. The only real changes are to the controls and UI which had to be adapted for touch devices. That said, any PC HSL players will feel right at home with the tablet version.

Cheers,

David Williamson
Sounds pretty solid to me since it`s usually that you have to cut a little bit out of the Game because of the different Control System (Tab instead of Mouse) to fit better the Tablets.

I imagine we'll know once it's released in our regions, the game on PC is very polished though so I see no reason to doubt it without trying it.
