Yep, I love the original too. Going to be buying this immediately, at least for the wife who's played through the first four or five times!

Reminds me to play the first :P So off to download that first Bought it during a busy time in my life and plain forgot about it...

Glad to see there's a sequel waiting for me though.

I know I know. At least I have a double dose ahead!

This is nowhere near as good as the first one.

The songs are daft and the story doesn't make any sense. I loved the first one but this sequel is nothing like it and definitely not worth it.

Dang straight it is. It took me a little time to figure it out (didn't realize I could tap the random notes that appeared)... but once I had it down it was just a great experience from beginning to end. Right up there near Gitaroo Man (PS2/PSP).

I see some negative feedback, but I don't think I'll let that sway me. This is a game I will happily throw a buck at considering how much I enjoyed the first one... and I think I got the first one free anyway.

So first itunes card purchase this year and first game purchase will be this one (second will probably be Super HEAVY Sword which the dev said elsewhere is aimed at the end of the month).

EDIT:

Watched the trailer over on Steam and it looks pretty awesome. If I enjoy it on iOS, I may double dip on steam at some point (probably a sale).

Bought my first itunes card of the YEAR and threw down my $0.99 for this game this morning. I'll give it some time in a couple hours and post some feedback for anyone interested.

EDIT:

Gave the game some time and overall so far so good. I completely failed the first battle, but considering how long it has been since I dominated all of the first game, I have do doubt that it's ME (not knowing the song yet and re-learning when to tap) and not the game. I'm looking forward to playing this more tonight. The story is just as silly as the first game... but again, I'm only at the first battle so more as I dig deeper into the game. As it stands, a no brainer $0.99 for me. Too bad most people will probably overlook this premium music game.

Update came out yesteday that tweeks the controls a bit. I'm downloading it now and looking forward to giving this some time later.

I guess I'm one of the very few excited for a sequel to this game? Not many rhythm/music game fans here I guess.
