Default how many pipe scenes needed in a game?

Hi I was wondering how many art scenes
Are needed in a game like flappy bird or the new queen bird as advertised on here?

What do you mean by art scenes?

But I assume the tubes are made by tiling. So you just need 2 pieces to make a tube of any length.

Well the pipes vary a lot like some scenes are 5 or 6 pipes together and single ones different lengths

Yeah so you just tile the image up to the required length and then put the end bit on. Easy.

You mean do one big artwork and overlap to make different scenes?

Uh oh... Well you have a scrolling background that just repeats over and over and then you have a pipe image which you just display in different height levels onto the screen. That's it. No scenes, no whatever, just one background image, one layer above for parallax scrolling and then just two images for upper and lower pipes which you just paint over and over again.
