I recently bought a game called iMech. This is a multiplayer shooter in which you must gun down the enemy mechs before you get gunned down. The game features 2 modes; singleplayer and multiplayer. Game is easy to pick up and play but I would suggest some player vs. bot action before going online... Gameplay My gameplay with the game, both single and multiplayer, is great. The game feature a very detailed tutorial. It covers all the basics of the game and goes into some of the advanced things in the game. The other singleplayer mode is practice. In that mode you go up against 2 computer controlled mechs to sharpen your skills for online or just for you to play offline when your in the car. The controls are easy to get the hang of. If you played Minigore you've pretty much got the controls. For those of you not familier with Minigore's controls you use dual control sticks. One to move and the other to fire. Yes, I know no camera controls, but that is ok because you dont need them. To swich weapons just tap the weapon swich bar at the bottom of you screen. For chat you just hit the button with "chat" on it(thats new... ) where you can select many phrases such as "pwned" or "lucky shot". but this feature is hardly used because the onscreen action is so intense.[CENTER]Sound[CENTER] The games sound is fairly impressive. Though I havent played much I think its pretty good. Graphics The graphics on this game are great. The mechs a very detailed along with the map areas. Some people do report some lag on multiplayer which i have yet to expirience (but it does feature a connection bar telling you how good your internet connectivity is). The Verdict Gameplay 5/5 Sound 4.5/5 Replayablity 5/5 Controls 4.5/5 Graphics 5/5 FINAL 5/5 iMech is a great game. For a price tag of 2.99 I wouldnt say this is a steal but it is definetly well worth it. If you like dual stick shooters with a multiplayer twist or pwning people online, than pick up iMech. And thats the ninja review... ![]() im sorry for no pics. i couldnt figure out how to do them... |
