Mentioned in a price drop thread a while back, I finally got around to finishing it. Slick, but boring, generic and not very compelling. The story could fit on the back of a napkin, but is overblown and grandiose in a way that doesn't even have fun chewing the scenery. A tacked on final scene is just that - tacked on.

There is no teleport map, but the hint meter fills quickly and can assist in navigation. Labelling of hot spots is hit or miss unless they're hidden object scenes, of which there are too many. You have to repeat them all, with most of the items you previously removed mysteriously present again

Puzzles are out of place and not very fun.

This is a mediocre game with a great art team. A shame, since its sequel is among my favorite over-the top hidden object cheese fests, and is a blast to play.
