I think you are missing the fact that some people paid ALMOST ONE HUNDRED CENTS for it and now they have all been ripped off by yet another greedy indie dev!

Sometimes a dev puts their game Free, temporarily, to get more people talking. Gain more popularity. Later, hopefully more sales. Sometimes they just ran out of promo codes.
I purchased this game. I am happy that the dev is doing a temporary free period because if more people are interested, the dev will continue to update instead of walking away. Especially if the free downloaders tell others good things about it after the free period is over, more sales= more support.
