It seems pricy in general... Is it worth it?

The base game is all there for the asking price. There is currently one mini expansion and several additional characters you can purchase via IAP, you can also purchase the rune card set but those cards also can be earned in game. Just be aware there is a lot of dice rolling, so if you don't enjoy that randomness in the game then be aware.

It is in the UK. The price dropped from 4.99 to 2.49, so I guess the price drop is written from. UK perspective.

Either way the AppStore prices are much better for US customers than everyone else, as we always seem to pay more for our games 😳

The benefit for you, is that you get to actually live in the UK...

From memory, Prologue is single player with just you against the board . You can play as one of several classes but on you own. Talisman has you and up to three other players ( real or AI) playing against the board AND each other. If you land on the same square as another player you can choose to encounter the 'board', or the other player.
There are more classes to choose from plus other bits and bobs. Prologue can be thought of as more of a tutorial where you can try several different classes.
Hope this helps. Both are great games.

Yeah, Prologue was a crappy "twist" on the real game, attempting to adapt the original game to a single player experience. This version is the actual game and uses AI for single player oppose to making a silly mini game out of it in Prologue.

Edit:This is an excellent video going over the board version (same as this game) and the tactics and explanation of it all. Recommended viewing.
