The year is 1984, the world's greatest racers create The Grid, the most futuristic racer ever imagined! A 3 dimensional world awaits the player, but beware, this race is not for the feint of heart!

The Grid - Retro Future Racing will test you to your limits, and beyond. Test your concentration and avoid crashing in Score Attack mode, or beat your rivals in Race mode. Whichever you chose, only the best will succeed. You will not. The Grid is not for the tame.

EyeSix's comments:
TL;DR - I made a racing game that is really, really difficult that came out on iOS and Android a few days ago. It's pretty addictive if you can get into it.

Full Description:
A few years ago, after I lost my job I made a game for my son while I was teaching myself to code. Recently, while I've been struggling with my eyesight (diabetes is a b****), in order to pass som time and concentrate on what I have been able to see, I've updated it a bit to work on phones and tablets.

It's really difficult, and pretty fast. The idea behind it is not to crash - on all game modes, the further you go without crashing the faster you get. Not crashing is a bit like changing a duvet in the back of a moving van with one hand tied behind your back.

It certainly isn't perfect - the barriers at the side of the track look pretty bad, the AI sometimes throws the opposition cars out of the track and collision detection on the rear right of the craft are the main issues that I'm solving as and when my vision allows.

So, yeah, if you fancy playing a damned hard racing game that's inspired by Wipeout and Micro Machines, give it a go
