Looks interesting. Kinda reminds me of OTD. Definitely going to pick this up, the visuals are nice as well. Love the bright & bulky clay style.

Looks like someone cloned OTTTD already. That was fast.

Is it out or what? No sign on British App Store. This is the second time this's happened. What's going on?

Default Game Impressions

Already played this one. It borrows from Kingdom Rush with a much more malicious IAP scheme. Basically imagine if KR tied your use of the special powers to their microtransactions. You have to 'regenerate' your usage of these over many hours--I think it was about 6 hours for five uses of the troops support. Or pay to do it with premium currency, of course.

Additional heroes beyond the one stock avatar also cost money. I think they were $3 each.

You need to pay coins to unlock the upgrades for towers. They cost thousands and will take a lot of grinding to acquire and they carry a timer so you'll have to wait hours for that upgrade to take effect.

Further, the game bottlenecks your progress. You need to meet a certain number of stars to play the next level after a certain point. To get those stars is impossible unless you've bought a lot of upgrades, and in this way they've made certain you can't play far into the game without suffering the wrath of the IAP system.

The balance is on the hard side, also because they want you to have to buy those upgrades or grind for them.

What it offers: four types of towers with no upgrade paths. Turret tower fires bullets always. Laser tower zaps enemies with shields. There's no branching at any point where they'll do anything radically different, such as the barracks allowing axe throwers or knights in Kingdom Rush. Building locations are fixed. The heroes have upgradable abilities, also purchased with coins. And there's a lightning building in every stage that wipes out several enemies, but its use is tied directly to the game's premium currency.

So bottom line: get this if for some reason you liked Kingdom Rush but felt you weren't being charged enough to play it.
