Update on Myst

I emailed the developers of Myst for the iPhone sunday saying:

Quote:
I'm curious on the development of Myst for the iPhone platform. Any information would be great.
I can't wait for this to eventually come to the platform, and I hope it's still in development.
and got this response today:

Quote:
The iPhone developement is moving along nicely and we expect release in Q1 of 2009.
Thought I'd share this with everyone as I know I'm excited for this release
It's close, guys!

very cool! I tried to start playing it recently, but didn't stick with it. it'll be much easier if it's in my pocket at all times.

P.S. I emailed Graal Zone's developers a while back, and they said the game should be released this month. I'm really looking forward to that one too.

Very cool. I wonder if they are really reworking the interface. I'm worried about what I read from the reviews of the DS version. Especially how even with a stylus it was hard to hit things, so with a finger they better make it easier.

But either way, thinking back to the day I bought Myst from Costco for Mac, it just seems like it would be a milestone to have the game in my pocket on a cell phone no less.

Cool. I had never heard of the game until now, but it looks like fun. Thanks!

Let's hope that however they do it, they do it well.

Either one would be fine with me. I bet if the iPhone could handle realMYST that would be it. But I'm not sure if it could.

Did they say if they were using the RealMyst engine?
