App description: To see a world in a bunker of sand
And a heaven in a wild cactus,
Hold infinity in the pocket of your shorts,
And eternity in Desert Golfing.

Anyone taken the plunge on this one yet?
Keen for some impressions.

Yep, Enviro-Bear and No Brakes Valet to name a few. I'm sure there will be some impressions on this one soon.

Realistic Summer Sports Simulator is an all time classic, so ridiculously rediculous it's fun!

I grabbed this as I have enjoyed some of their other games. The gameplay is simple but enjoyable. What you see in the screenshots is what you get, nothing weird, nothing but sand. Every time I thought I figured out what the goal was (18 holes) the game just keeps going. I am on hole 43 and my shot total is just over 100. I am starting to think that the game doesn't end because there is no way to go back to the main menu.

Easily worth a dollar for me.

Edit...Rich you know me well.

I have played 101 holes and am sitting in the mid 300's for shots. I have to admit I am not sure what the goal is or if there even is one.

I really like the simplicity of the game and the brown backdrop works but a touch of color or addition to the environment would be nice. I kept thinking I would see a cactus, bones, animal or traveler but nothing. A game just like this with some encounters, even if just visual would be great.

Does this play much like Super Stickman? (sorry but the comparison was going to come up eventually)

In Desert Golfing you just touch anywhere on the screen and a white arrow appears, pullback for power release. So, the controls are super easy and it allows for quick gameplay.

Super Stickman is the full package of golf games IMO, so in that regards Desert Golfing is a very bare bones, no thrills experience in comparison. In DG, there are no special shots, no special anything really. Having said that, it is fun to play and I keep playing it.

I would say if you like these types of golf games and you find yourself with a $1 that you don't know what to do with, you could do worse.
