There is a free to try edition of Star Traders RPG - https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/id528949262?mt=8

Star Traders RPG for a $0.99 is a total steal, I've really enjoyed it... it's an open world space sim. Resource manage around the universe collecting stuff to trade, raiding planets, fighting pirates, bombard/explore planets, manage crew moral, upgrading your ship, etc. Easily worth a buck and a game I consider to be essential for iOS gamers with a nice blend of relatively more casual (open world) and strategy (methodical ship management).

FWIW Star Traders 4X Empires is a spin off.

There is an impending Kickstarter for Star Traders RPG 2 - http://www.tresebrothers.com/kickstarter

Totally agree with undeadcow. The game is great. Beyond everything he said, this is one of the devs that listened when I and others suggested a premium version of this game. There's nothing more to buy with the Elite version of this game. Also they kept that tradition with their other two games. You are free to try the free versions and either IAP unlock the rest of the game or buy the Elite version separately.

Although optional the Elite edition does still have IAP for an achievement unlock (cheat) at $4.99 and a ship designer ($0.99) if you'd care to format your own ship from scratch beyond the plentiful ship formats already available.

Yeah, I forgot they added that. Now that I think about it, I remember being annoye when they did that. Still, it's nice they offer a premium version... Too bad they didn't bundle in the extra content for those that paid to avoid this very thing.

Nope, it's 3 bucks. I know I took nearly 24h to reply, but it was like you see it in the picture. Attached last night too...

It's definitely dead now. Often times app sales/discounts cascade by region (like new releases do on release, showing up region by region) so likely this lapsed in Spain earlier than it did in the United States.

Ah, quite possible, because it happened around 1am-2am local time, which is when Thursday games go live... Thanks for the head up
