    Freemium, count me out.

  4. Tiny Prison is trying something a little different with the pay model. It does have a freemium element, but I would call it Shareware + Freemium. The game is free to download and there is a one time $1.99 purchase of an expansion that offers additional features. This feels like a win-win to me, because the customer can try the game for free, and we can reach more customers and give them a chance to make a purchase that they might have never made otherwise. At that point there is still a classic freemium model but for those that don't like to participate, you will not hit any sort of pay walls that try to squeeze you into spending another dollar.

If I was a customer of this game I would only be spending $2 and I imagine that most of the gamers on this forum have a similar disposition.

    ^I like pay-once-to-play-forever payment options.

Perma-unlock IAPs are always acceptible to me.

Yes, that is basically trial + unlock. Even Sid Meier did that on iPhone, and it sounds like a fair model to me.

I would love to give this one a try if you still want some beta users.

  7. Yes, more Beta testers are still needed!

You should maybe change the name before you release it, I seriously doubt Nimblebit will just sit back and let you ride off their name.

It'd be so much less hassle in the long-run.

Do they own the rights to the word "Tiny"? I don't think so

  10. I'm not a lawyer, but I observed that there are already multiple games on the marketplace that use the word "Tiny". A lawyer once told me that even if they don't have a copyright on specific words such as "Tiny" (which I assume they don't) one can still get into trouble if it can be demonstrated in court that customers confuse one brand for another.

This is some of the most fun I've had testing a game in a while, it's crazy the prisoners fight you can send them to the electric chair have them make licence plates. I can't lie my favorate is when the start shanking the guards lol priceless.

I've never wanted to play those other "Tiny" games but this one is a winner in my book

  12. That is great to hear! Thanks for taking a look at the game.

  15. A quick update to say that Beta testing is now closed for iOS. Still accepting Android testers though.

The initial post was also updated with a link to the game trailer, and finally the release date is set for October 25! Thanks all who helped test the final product.
