Looks half decent. Is this something a fan of FTL can pick up and enjoy? Anyone able to comment on it?

It's closely related to FTL in the story department. If you're looking for more action, grab something else.

Not really. It is only really similar to FTL in the star map and resource management part. Also this game is as hard If not harder than FTL. To many people the gameplay can seem like tedium so I can't recommend it to everyone. But it has tremendously immersive writing and brilliant visuals. I personally dislike the gameplay but the writing and constant discovery make up for it.

Thanks! I think I'll hold off for the time being.

here's some review etc... enjoyable but different from FTL, some don't like the random luck feature like life. I like it as the game can change at anytime.

One of the coolest games in the store.. Like somebody mentioned the artwork and writing are really good.. There's no combat, it's all about managing your resources and advancing through the map..

Feedback seemed quite positive so I grabbed it while it was on sale. Thanks.
