Default Samurai: Way of the Warrior

Ahhh yay beat the game..

So here's my ending..er..feedback (OMG THE ENDING! does that mean there's a sequel btw? haha anyways..)

Ok, so i bought this game cause somehow it got really popular among the community even though there was no hype/announcements really about the game, SO IT MUST BE GOOD RIGHT? well, yes..and no. Let's see, first 3 levels provide pretty much just a warm-up since i dont see how you could possibly die since they dont even attack you back (or dont get a chance to) when you unleash your < > or > < spin moves (those are combos lol).

Oh first of all, like people have repeated, the graphics are truely unique and the blood affects are pretty clean cut too. Also, the story line is interesting, but quite cliche, ah well...so back to the er..content. Oh, the controls are nice and responsive, unlike what many ppl say..

Ok, so it starts getting harder, and these samurai guys start hitting back when you finish a combo and even dash at you sometimes. You die a few times, oh well! But here's the part where you learn to, OH MY GOSH!, parry and side-step! Wow!! well thats for you to figure out how, but once you do that...you kinda never get hit again unless some guy you dont see suddenly dashes at you, but thats rare. This skill (LOL) let me kill that guy at the end and orochi without getting hit once, so the learning curve is truly limited. And the attacks i kept doing were just > < > or < > < and yea, repetitive.

Oh, one more thing, once you get the last combo (shoguns death?) theres no way you can die anymore. This combo allows you to push your enemy back quite a distance allowing you to immediately follow through with a second combo, killing any enemy except for the bosses. So all in all, I found the gameplay to grow quite repetitive depite the various environments and nice the sfx of game. Also, the developer said something about being longer than a DVD. Ah...I'm sorry but I've never seen a movie under an hour, even on DISNEY CHANNEL!

In conclusion, I would not spend 2.99 on this game even though it is truly innovative and "new" and rather have bought 3 good 0.99 games (if you only buy cheap apps that is, not me unfortunately). But yea..a game that only lasts an hour or so does not really do it for me.

Ahhh, I should start writing reviews O_O hahahah...

3.5 out of 5-nice sounds, control scheme; graphics are very sharp and clean cut, very nice visuals/effects. However, very repetitive gameplay and very short, cliche story line, worth 0.99 imho.

Thanks for reading! First review, sorry if it's horrible.
