First review, some tests for GPU included, battery test not yet done completely as of now. http://www.wired.co.uk/reviews/tablets/2014-10/ipad-air-2-review
Triple core that's really strange makes me wonder if they tried to make it quad and had problems so just decided to deactivate one of them.
The benchmarks are stupidly good. Part of me can't wait till I get mine on Friday - the other part of me knows I'll have to wait a while longer before any software really takes advantage of it.
At first I wasn't interested as I thought the only new thing was a gimmicky finger scanner. Then I read about it's CPU speed and extra ram.. That got my interest. Sadly I now find out they dropped the 32gb version which is the one I buy. Imo it's a ridiculous decision. If they are going to drop any it should be the 16 as 16gb is way too tight, I bet you barely get 12 available to use. The 64gb device is out of my budget so I won't be upgrading this year, thanks apple.
I think he was hoping for Apple to drop the 16 GB model, making a 32 GB one cost as much as the 16 GB model does now.
Impressive RAM comparison with the first Air: http://www.pocketgamer.co.uk/r/iPad/XCOM%3A+Enemy+Unknown/feature.asp?c=62188 I ordered a 128GB model yesterday. Can't wait
It is crazy good. I'm regularly going into apps I haven't used for a couple of days and finding them still running.
