Let's pretend that you have been hired by Apple as a gaming enthusiast to select 10 games that will come preinstalled on every iPhone to show off it's capabilities. These may not necessarily be your favorites, but games that will showcase the diversity of iOS gaming and highlight the phone's amazing capabilities. My Ten Horn Sonic CD Tilt to Live Sky Gamblers: Storm Raiders Need for Speed Most Wanted Bike Baron Flight Control Angry Birds Star Wars Cut the Rope Temple Run
I doubt a single person would agree, but here's my ten, in no order. Phantom Leader Knights of the old Republic Xcom Baldurs Gate Pixa Battleheart Legacy Monster Hunter Freedom Unite Junk Jack X Crash Dive Deep Loot
I'd pick the iphone/ipad "definers" if i were to make a list for apple, like Temple Run 2, IB3, Fruit Ninja, Super Hex, The Room, etc... Choices made for marketing reasons. But if i want to gift an iphone to a loved one (who can play games decently, and not a total casual) and should put 10 games in it... Boson X Monster Hunter Freedom Unite Battleheart Legacy Limbo Repulze Blueprint 3D Phoenix HD with all ships unlocked together with the coin tripler (or if that's not possible then Danmaku Unlimited 2) Fireball SE EPOCH.2 Anomaly 2
My favorite 10 are: 1. Tiny wings. 2. Angry birds. 3. Angry birds seasons. 4. Fruit ninja 5. Wheres waldo? 6. Cut the rope. 7. Words with friends. 8. Doodle jump. 9. Bejeweled 2+blitz. 10. Apache overkill. I like these games more and you too try these out and enjoy!
XCOM FTL Monster Hunter Bastion Hack 868 Banner Saga Boson X Wayward Souls VVVVVV And of course, Desert Golfing
Mmm, tough choice, however I'd pick DEVICE 6 FTL Bug Heroes 2 Angry Birds (Why not, it's everywere!) Fruit Ninja Infinity Blade III Modern Combat 5 (That could justify the always online thing) Minecraft Cut The Rope 2 The Room 2
Interesting thread...hmm...pretending it's for those who don't know iphones and ios gaming, then i put them on Apple's needle with: Epic Zen Garden - show off Fruit Ninja - swipe Tiny Wings - tap Tilt to Live - tilt World of Goo - physics Oceanhorn - adventure Anomaly 2 - tactics Papa Sangre - listen The Room 2 - simply a must have Toucharcade - look for yourself Edit: Sky Force - a f2p done right, and who doesn't like to shot something once in a while...
I like Qwertz's mix... Not the picksexactly, but the amount of variety in it as an invitation to iOS gaming for the new users. I also went by with this thought in my picks, but i think Qwertz's choices are easier to get into than mine.
Well...let me think 1)Boson X 2)Boson X 3)Boson X 4)Boson X 5)Boson X 6)Super Hexagon 7)Super Hexagon 8)Super Hexagon 9)Super Hexagon 10)Super Hexagon And now to be serious. I've tried to pick games which people could easily get into whilst showing capabilties of games on the device in terms of gameplay, graphics and so on 1)Boson X 2)Super Hexagon 3)Threes 4)Angry Birds (The Original) 5)Infinity Blade 6)Crazy Taxi 7)Monsters Ate My Condo 8)Unblock Me 9)Pocket Planes 10)Flight Control
My top 10 in no particular order: 1. Minecraft 2. Fruit Ninja 3. Temple Run: Brave (personal favorite on tr series) 4. Bike Baron 5. GTA: SA (or maybe GTA III?) 6. Monster Hunter 7. Plant vs. Zombie 8. Heads up! (Party games everyone?) 9. Tetris 10. Wayward souls Though I like most of the kairosoft games as well, I can't just pick one :s
Monument Valley (I'm quite surprised no one mentioned this one) Plants vs. Zombies Leo's Fortune NightSky Contre Jour Joe Infinity The Room Device 6 Multiponk Limbo
As far as a tilt/roller would everyone agree that Crazy Hedgy was the best example of this or would Tilt to Live be a better example?
I'd personally pick Knightmare Tower for a game withtilt, but it isnt entirely a tilt game. From those 2 options i'd go for Tilt To Live. It represents tilt-games pretty well to get new players to like the control scheme. Only problem for tilt-games is that only a few devs actually got the controls optimized well to feel natural when playing.
