The game has you playing a hero exploring the galaxy one mission at a time. You can choose a class and a race, equip some weapons and get out there, make some money and maybe find a new planet or two.

And an early test video:

There's a very early playable demo here in LibGDX GWT Backend version - that means you'll need a decent browser to try it:

Try the Early Demo

There's loads more to do as you can imagine include:

- Loads of new missions, items, locations, monsters, etc etc
- Online save/load
- Player ship buying and travelling
- Hiring mercs to help on the mission
- Implants
- Weapons Mods
- Psi powers

I'm hoping to release for Desktop, iOS and Android - with maybe Web too if I can think that out straight.

Should work. Run it with:

java -jar launch.jar

It'll keep itself updated with the latest version of Legends of Fore too.

WOAH! I love Legends of Yore! A sci fi spinoff is a lot better in my taste!

Looks great.

Would it be possible to include at virtual D-pad and a button. That's basically what keeps me from playing most rogue likes, I hate having to place my iPad in an akward position to be able to touch all over the screen. :-)

This looks great. Reminds me of the old rebelstar/laser squad games 'slightly'

Another vote for an optional d-pad

Will there be a story? You could log into computer terminals to find
personal logs and files that explain what is going on. You might even be able
to play a mini game that unlocks a door or awards the player with something.

Pretty excited too! Wasn't sure if I'd be the first to release a new game with oryx new pack or not. Looks like you beat me to it but it will be fun!
