Default Page 2 / "Coming Soon"?

Just an observation; what do you guys think?

I'd love to see a Page 2 or similar, a seperate page for news about upcoming releases. I don't come to TA to read about what MIGHT be released at some future TBD date. I come to read reviews and find out what's out (and good) NOW! I think news about future possible releases is great, but it just pushes the good TA content down on the front page.

Comments?

Personally I'm quite happy to have it all on one blog. It's not like we have a dozen or so posts to read everyday on it. I'd rather keep up to date reading one blog and not two.

I think the upcoming games posts are helpful actually. I more see a page two for more app release announcements perhaps. We are relatively selective about the front page.

Right on. If you put release/review stuff on a Page 2, I'll be able to update my bookmarks.

I think that 'coming soon' posts are nice too, but how many times have we seen release dates pushed back, etc? Hell, even the great Rolando has been pushed back several times ... It just gets old seeing the same games posted about repeatedly - 'coming soon', then 'coming next week', then 'new teaser video' and finally 'released!' ... Enough already.

I think the pre-release and hype are part of the fun. I mean people plan ahead for purchases. People look forward to Rolando and NFS and SimCity. In some ways it's more fun than the actual releases themselves

I like the single page format, just don't add a 100 bloggers like TUAW.

How about having a calendar of upcoming releases?

intersting idea. most apps don't have a specific release date, but we could organize something by months perhaps

in the meanwhile, you can browse the upcoming games cat:

I think a Google calendar or something similar will do. People can subscribe and stuff. Might be very useful.

So depending on how good the release date estimates are, we can make a day event, a week long event, or even a month long event :-)
