Hyper Rift - A sci-fi visual gamebook adventure

You wake up in the med bay of a spaceship. You've no memory of who you're, how you end up there, who put you there, and why. When you explore the spaceship, you realize that you're not alone. You meet strangers claiming that they too, have lost their memories. Are they friends or foes? Are you in purgatory?

CKS Games' latest game, codenamed Project H, is a visually guided gamebook adventure set on Spaceship Mi'raj (or, is it?). Drawing inspirations from movies like Event Horizon, Sunshine and Solaris as well as traditional text adventures like Zork, we craft an original sci-fi story that blends real science with imaginations, present choices with far reaching consequences, multiple endings and interesting characters that can save your life or betray you in critical moments.

A good script takes time to write and fine tune, so this isn't an easy journey. Nevertheless, Project H is 70% complete, so we're ready to show a teaser screenshot (working UI. not final). It's developed with unity 4.6 and will feature the new UI elements. It will be released on iOS and Android before Xmas.

If you're interested in Project H and eager to board Spaceship Mi'raj, please like our facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/cksgames) to keep abreast of the latest news and release dates!

You wake up to discover that you're marooned in a spaceship, drifting in deep space. You meet with others who recount their last memories prior to 'the waking'. Are you all somewhat related? Are they friends or foes? Who is the mastermind? When your first piece of memory comes back to you, you wish it hadn't - because now you can't even trust yourself.

Hello! We're pleased to report that CKS Studio's latest game (codenamed Project H) has reached 95% completion! Project H is a visual gamebook adventure with text puzzles, hard decisions and multiple endings. If you want a summary of what you can expect from the game - it's like the hit TV series 'Lost', but in space!

We're now in the process of assigning endings based on the many combinations of decisions the player can take. It's one of the hardest part of the design process.

Meanwhile, please enjoy another screenshot of Project H. The mosaic is necessary to avoid spoiler - because you might see different text when you come into this room.

Merry Xmas!

Project-H from CKS Studio is now 99% done. We've made a handy in-game interface for you to track the endings you unlock. The unlocks will be synced to your Google Play Games or Game Center as well. Oh, we also have one leaderboard that ranks players according to the most number of unlocked endings

The game is now in the hand of the CKS Studio's friend cum grammar police. Once he gives the go-ahead, it will make its Google Play and Amazon debut. For Apple, as you all know, it will take another 6-7 days.

Of course, Project-H is about the journey, not just the endings. The game is lovingly crafted and loaded with wink-wink-nudge-nudge science fiction references - if you are well read enough to spot them!

We look forward to sharing Project-H with you soon!

We are happy to announce that the official name of our game, once codenamed Project-H, is called Hyper Rift.

Hyper Rift is now officially out on Google Play and Amazon! The iOS version will be coming 7 days later!

I have to say that this looks totally for me. I love reading, scifi, and a good mystery. Gamebooks are great and I will definitely look for this one!

There are 10 kinds of people in this world, those who understand binary and those who don't.
I have all the gumballs!

Thank you Matt. We're touched that, after the game has been released, there are already fans who point out some grammatical and typo errors. Instead of dissing the game for its teething issue, they help to make it better.

I hope you enjoy solving the Hyper Rift mysteries!

Per your "7 days later", is it still coming today? My guess is not, so the better question is: do you have another release date set (roughly or otherwise)?

Hi bloodangel and shadowgamer, we regret to tell you that we have indeed submitted the game for review for seven days but apple has not reviewed it yet. Meanwhile the Android version is already 1.0.2 with many fixes...

I'll keep you guys posted on this thread !

Looking good, I look forward to it. In fact, I will already play it on an older device on Android while I wait for it for my iOS devices.

Thanks for the update!
