Ftl now half price (+should i get it?)

Should i get it if
I like the artwork
I love the music
I like SOME roguelikes, like Wayward souls

But space sims were never my thing, like Out There, Star Nomad or that other space sim Pixel game i cant remember the name of, where you hire green aliens ertc.

So, would i enjoy this in finishing it, unlockables, replayability and combat? The gameplay trailers leave me conflicted. Please let me know what you think, and for other potential buyers also.

I'm in a hurry so I'm not going to give you anything in depth. If you don't like the games listed, you may not like this. Though, it's not as engaging as Out There and has a ton of replay value. It's nothing like Wayward Souls. I do think it's a risk you should take. I didn't think I'd like it from the videos, but really enjoyed it. We play a lot of the same games judging from where I see your name pop up around the forums.

If you didn't like Out There I wouldn't get FTL. Not that similar in gameplay but overall similar philosophies.

Thanks for the answers people. I think i will skip this and maybe buy this amazing music track of the trailer at bandcamp or somewhere if i can find it.

I kind of feel strange for not liking these space sims as they are some of the highest rated games, but i tried some and they don't do it for me, put out the fires and fire the torpedoes at the enemy etc.. Oh well,

fTL half price for all you spacesim lovers who didn't buy it yet

Very cool I think I will buy this one, because I have never played one of this genre. Thank you.
