Hexxy Snake (by Surprise Attack Games)

We're excited to announce that Hexxy Snake, a radical six-sided reinvention of the classic reptillian mobile game, launched today for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices.

It's Snake as you've never seen it before.

Steer your hungry snake on a hexagonal grid. Eat the food, avoid the walls.

It sounds easy but with three difficulty levels starting at "hard", prepare to pull out your hair and have "just one more go".

SIMPLE CONTROLS
Tap left to turn anti-clockwise and right to turn clockwise.

THREE DIFFICULTY SETTINGS
Conquer "Hard", "Mad" and "Hell" to be the ultimate Hexxy Snake champion.

PUMPING AUDIO AND VISUALS
Awesome electro soundtrack and burning neon colours.

100 CHALLENGING STAGES
Level editor and more stages coming soon.

SHARE YOUR REPLAYS
User Everyplay to record and share your exploits.

Hexxy Snake is a Universal App and is compatible with iPod 4 and above, iPhone 4 and above, iPad 2 and above, iPad Mini and above.

iOS 5.11 or later OS version is required.

HAHA that's definitely the best box quote for this game.

The price just dropped so I picked it up. So far it's a little bit of a let down. I was expecting some crazy visuals from the photosensitive warnings. The hex controls make the game more difficult. I guess I can recommend this game for anyone who wants another snake type game that's very hard.

Omg!!!! I cannot stop playing this! I don't know what but I am so hooked on this game. I must have played for at least 6 hours so far and I barely made a dent! You get so much bang for your buck. My god, I think I need rehab because I'm completely addicted.
It's really the perfect time killer. It has the perfect balance of difficulty. Hard is easy and hell is hard. When you fail it can be frustrating but in a satisfying way. You get used to the controls and then you start doing better. Each level can be beaten fairly quickly. So you could get about 1 or 2 levels beaten in 5 minutes so it's also great in short bursts. It could take 10+ minutes if you play in hell and have a difficult level. The difficulty ramp is very good. The controls are perfect. I mainly wish they would enlarge the snake playing area to make use of the space of the screen. So much of it is unused wasted space.
