I dig the music, the retro sounds, and of course the retro graphics. There's nothing in the manner of permanent upgrades, but the further you progress each run, the more your ship will upgrade and become stronger (more powerful). Pretty fun in short bursts. Strangely, this game is a high score chaser without any form of leaderboards....? Hopefully that is integrated, as I don't see much replayability if it's just a local score save. Qwertz555 Well-Known Member May 22, 2010 2,318 29 48 #8 Qwertz555, Feb 27, 2015 ^^^ as Chief said. I bought this the minute it was out but got spilled away by two other great games this week. Now i found a few minutes... Wow, what an adorable charming retro look, top music and good working relative touch controls this little shooter gem offers. Every hit you make raises slowly your multiplier, take one and it's set back to start. Everything is given for a cool highscore chaser. Instead, we're given no Gamecenter or in-game leaderboard, no screen orientation (button on the right on 5s, argh!), one audio button for both (heck, who needs this, really?), the sfx could be louder compared to the music and a button to leave the app (never understood this). Pity, very pity. Recommended only for art style and people who don't mind having no GC. planckboy Well-Known Member Oct 8, 2012 162 0 0 #9 planckboy, Feb 27, 2015 Hi all - I'm the artist on this one happy to answer any questions. I've been hanging around the TA forums for years so it's odd being on this side now. But please feel free to check out more of my art on Twitter @planckpixels or my online portfolio. http://nabaroo.com/planckpixels Hope u all enjoy the game vectorarchitekt Well-Known Member Dec 29, 2013 2,479 169 63 #10 vectorarchitekt, Feb 28, 2015 This game is a great little high score shooter! Gloriously retro. Game Center would be nice though. I hope it is successful! Don't let yourself get fooled when this game starts out a bit slow. Pick up three upgrades and start getting on your toes. The better i get, the deeper and more beautiful this game evolves, pretty damn intense as well, and as soon as my dropped jaw (WOW to those power-ups) is back in place, i'd say: Hey, look at that video and get this little goddess! And you are sure that there isn't a hidden button on your computer saying: Add Gamecenter now...? I'm hoping for screen orientation, at least. So if you find some spare time, please, could you make that possible? I made a 5 star rating in my app store, but also saying that i gave the last star in advance. Won't help big since my swiss store isn't that famous. Edit: this cute little cut scene in the video didnd't make it into the game, pity. vectorarchitekt Well-Known Member Dec 29, 2013 2,479 169 63 #12 vectorarchitekt, Feb 28, 2015 I still haven't made it to some of the later power ups yet, but I'm trying. My only request would be maybe Multiple music options. Something less techno and more ambient. Or, an option to turn the in-game music off and leave the menu music and sound effects on? This game is great. If you do plan on any tweaks, maybe it could ramp up just a hair faster. We really appreciate everyone slinging their thoughts our way as it can help us in the future. I wanted to keep the game largely the same across iOS and Android so some of the menu options remained the same. The game was largely designed to be as little fuss as possible to jump in/out of playing. I generally dislike having to dive through lots of menus, close ad boxes, etc - I appreciate just being able to hit play and GO. So I designed the game with those thoughts in mind. If you have any questions or feedback just drop them here or shoot me an email through the website We are incredibly busy with our PS4/XO/PC project since the end of last year but will always make time to follow up with concerns any of you have so don't be afraid to yell at us whenever you wish! We have on our list of to-do's to unlock screen orientation so users can flip their devices in any direction. Thanks for the kind words I'll admit to fumbling a little bit with shooting for a "pure" app and not including GC in release. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
