Tetris was also created by our compatriot, but he has developed game just for fun and was not going to profit on it. The first version of Color Lines has been sold about 150 copies. Back then piracy level in our country was extremely high: it was possible to give game to a friend by just copying it on a diskettes. As a result all countries from Soviet Union played in Color Lines.

Color Lines role in the history of the game industry cannot be overestimated. There are hundreds of clones of Color Lines across the world. With improved graphics and sounds, with changed rules. However, nowadays very few people know, that Color Lines was a founder of this popular game mechanics.
