Battle of Midway 2.0 is on the road

Jan 12th Newsletter:

We will change price when v2.0 available, this game limited time free now
What's new in the upcoming v2.0:
When laying the boats, the players can not only drag the warship out of the board to change their direction, they can also directly double-tap to make it.
Under the SALVO model, the attacking of each warship is played separately.
Amended the dynamic playing level of the pictures
Added the worldwide Leaderboards (OpenFeint)
Changed the whole background music


Dec 23th Newsletter:

New Version is on the road. (built in OpenFeint global highscores leader)
Paid Version still in test totally support WIFI dogfight


The battleship is the classic naval strategy game where two players try to sink each other's hidden ships. Battle of Midway is an awesome 45 degree angle battleship game in the iPhone.

This looks great. That means we can have quicker battles. Can't wait to try this, once the game updates on all servers.

Just played a game in Salvo mode. Awesome!
Devs have done a great job. Can't believe this is free!

If you are putting so much effort into free version, what is there in store for a premium one?

ah, good question.
in the pro edition, we will add 3 features, sth have done in test now.
wifi game
global highscore, compete with other players (free version will have local highscore in next version)
master level AI

Great. I just tested the previous version for an article and the salvo mode was one of the things on my wishlist . But what is still missing is game savings! If you got from a running game to the main menu or press the home button, the current game is lost, which is not acceptable. Do you plan to integrate an autosave feature?

Will the Pro version include OpenFeint as a community?

Also different weapons would be great with a greater radius would be nice .

the resume function is in the list
however as a simple game maybe it's not necessary

This has become a great pick-up-and-play-for-a-couple-of-minutes-while-you-are-waiting-for-a-bus game. Perhaps to make it even quicker you can include the option to make the hits instantaneous. Currently you wait for the shell to travel before it hits the targeted cell. Perhaps in options we could elect not to have "Shell Travel Time". This would speed up the gameplay. I love the wistle of incoming shells and cannon fire, but wish there was an option to have an even quicker game.
