I'm making a word game, and looking for ways to promote the game.
Do you think TouchArcade is a good place to promote word games?
To me, it looks like TouchArcade members are kinda mid-core, hard-core gamers, so casual word games are not very suitable here.
    What do you think?

If you have a game talk it up. Puzzle games in whole or in part make up a lot of the game logic for all games.

May not be ideal but you may as well try!

Capitals got some 16k views. It's not Asphalt 8 huge, but it's a respectable thread. I'd post it, the worst that happens is it gets ignored.

People are definitely interested in word games around here, it's just supremely difficult to make your word game stand out. Consider that the TouchArcade community is incredibly savvy, and just another word game is not enough. Capitals did as well as it did around here because it was not just a word game, but an incredibly unique and well executed word game.

It's a great question, since my first game I'm working on is a color-based-word-game-thing. I seem to remember spelltower was pretty popular around here too? Anyway, I'm always looking for more feedback on my game before release, so if anyone reading this is into word games, let me know, and I can send a beta invite.

    Thanks for all the feedbacks.
What I am prototyping is actually a Word-RPG game.
I thought it is easier to make good impressions with the RPG elements, character graphics, etc.
But after some internal play testing, I found out that word-RPG are more difficult than other puzzle-RPGs, and now I'm struggling to find a way to make my game more accessible.
I guess the word-game audience is a bit different than other genres, right?

I'm prototyping the game. It's not out yet.

Just like what Eli said, I'm thinking about how to make the game stands out from the development phase.
