I don't like the trailer.
Purely because the lambo wins, not the bike.
Where is the realism? Motorcycles pwn cars in the real world .

Nice CG sequence. Tells me bugger all about the actual game though.

What?! This is not in-game footage?

As one of the developers behind another upcoming iPhone racing game this trailer tells me two things:
A) They have a very different marketing budget
B) They have a very different approach - the first thing we ever posted about Speedlap Red was a playable demo-track

I suppose they can afford to be coy in their marketing, but it just bugs me. CG sequences could be about anything and really don't say much more about the game than "Hey, we've got a new racing game coming out, check out this artist's conception of it!"

Now, releasing an in-game video, or even better an online-playable demo as you did, that tells me everything I need to know.

It's probably the CG game intro Gameloft always does. A little annoying to us gamers who just want to get into the game, but to casuals? It's the signature stamp of polish that makes them feel proud and delighted to load up this game. Plus when you're showing off games to others it's gonna impress them right off the bat. You KNOW you're playing a Gameloft game.

AND they were smart enough to make them skippable.

Gameloft certainly do have some talented CGI guys, but it ain't gonna make me buy this game!

On a side note for those who are interested, Gameloft often releases the game shorty after the cinematic trailer...

Games I'm Playing: Jetpack Joyride, Infinity Blade 2, Batman, COD
Waiting For: Thunderbeam, Lostwinds, GTA3, Sonic CD
