Note: I am not affiliated with this release in any way, but I do love my old-school dungeon crawlers and RPGs (as if you had to guess from my sig)! Heard about this game a while back, and was surprised to see it arrived this morning so I'm going to pick it up and check it out in a little while

The Sega Master System (SMS) was a nice system back in the day, hopefully they'll pick up on Phantasy Star (and the Genesis sequel Phantasy Star II)!

CD: I thought you released something and got excited for a while.

Here's a gameplay video of it on youtube by some other site.

Not so great that the d-pad covers that bottom corner of the screen, imho.

Sorry for the false alarm! I do have multiple projects brewing, and will be making announcements in the upcoming games forum sometime soon though. You've been a great supporter, so if you can keep a secret I might be willing to share a few details in advance

On the subject of Govellius, it actually isn't bad if you don't mind the 1987 graphics! Action oriented RPG with overhead and side-scrolling areas, the controls are pretty responsive (my thumb and the D-pad get in the way of the view occasionally but not too bad). Plays a lot like Zelda II on the NES.

The game auto-saves *exactly* where you are on exit, and has multiple save slots. Only made it out of the first cave and into the desert-looking area so far, just 10 minutes of play into something that will take many hours to complete. So the initial impression is surprisingly decent game if you like action RPGs and are not hung up on 3-D GFX and pixel shaders

CD: Heh

For this game, I'll KIV this game for now. Have to finish the lot I downloaded the past week or so. From the gameplay video, the camera centralises on the character, so view blocking is not a big problem, I guess.

The graphics are retro beautiful.

Thanks CommanderData for the topic !

We (DotEmu) have submitted a small update that fixes minors bugs that sould be available very soon. We are working on another update that will slightly increase the speed of the game.

We have reduced the speed of the game in some areas (and the number of monsters) to make the game easier to play with a virtual pad.

Please keep posting your comments and critics so we can keep improving the game

I remember playing this on the master system (since i did not knew much English then i just wandered like an idiot till bumping on what to do lol)

Never got pass the 3 boss

Now i can play it to my heart content

Maybe you guys can add difficulty levels. EX: Right now how the game is could be easy, the game at normal speed and with the normal monsters spawns could be normal or something

Have any of the speed problems I've been hearing about been fixed through an update?
