Quote:
It's official. Don't Starve: Pocket Edition is coming to iPad Thursday, July 9th for $4.99 USD.

Don’t Starve: Pocket Edition, brings the hit PC game enjoyed by over 4 million players to the iPad. Now you can experience the uncompromising wilderness survival game full of science and magic on the go!
Optimized for Touch:

Don't Starve: Pocket Edition is packed with everything you've come to love in Don't Starve on the PC, including the Reign of Giants content! We've also created a new intuitive touch interface lets you explore, fight, craft and manage inventory with ease.

Since we don't have an app page until the game goes live, we've created a special page at http://DontStarveGame.com/iPad that will update once the game is live.
Coming this thursday for 4.99$.

NOTE: Don't Starve requires at least an iPad 3, or iPad mini 2 - also requires iOS 8 and up

$4.99 seems like a great deal as long as the port is good.

I'm a little grumpy that I won't be playing it on my iPhone 6+ (which has a nicer screen than my PS Vita any day).

But at $4.99, I'll double-dip and buy this one for iPad even though I have (and love) it already on Vita. Here's to hoping it goes Universal at some point...

Kudos for the most confusing title award. Curious to see the pocket that the iPad fits into.

If it wasn't a full edition, why include dlc? Seems like a full version for mobile, though they would have been better off with calling it don't starve touch or something, especially cus it's ipad only.

I don't know the differences. Just pointing out that "pocket" is being taken pretty literally, when I'm fairly confident the devs are just indicating that it's not exactly the same as the PC.

In their page they say iOS 8, not iOS 7. Who told you iOS 7 and up? I hope you're right and their page is wrong, but I don't have high hopes on it...

When I went to the website it was written "iOS 7". Seems like they have changed it then since.
