Saw some posts in a thread for this game, including a Sanuku video, but it was incorrectly titled or something

Surprised this isn't getting more attention now that Harbinger is out

Aside from this being free, what's the different with the newer one for anyone that has played it? I think this game passed my radar before but I may have to look at it again!

Edit: Actually after looking at actual video it looks like a completely different game play style

TOP5: Chaos Rings 3 / Monster Hunter Freedom Unite / The World Ends With You / Kingdom Rush Series / Implosion

Yeah this is described as a tower-defense rogue-like and served as a taste for a larger PC release of similar style, Battlestation: Humanity's Last Hope, which will hopefully get released in 2016 if it gets funded on kickstarter.

Still, surprisingly meaty game for a "mini" version of a PC game

I really enjoyed the first level and went ahead and bought the other packs, but was quiet disappointed as every level the same strategy works.

It seems the game has really bad balancing and only one strategy leads to success... A real bummer...

Oh look at that, I'm in this game as well! It seems I'm everywhere these days, not bad for an old guy like me.

The balancing isn't the best in the game, but it should offer a nice amount of game play still! It is just so damn hard to be a mobile game developer these days. Even now with Harbinger featured on both Google Play and Apple App Store we are most likely facing bankruptcy, that is how it is. And we are a 3 man team. Paid games do not sell enough to get bread on the table and free to play are so dominated by the big ones that little ones get 0 visibility.

We've been pushing ourselves to the limit for 4 years now, and we just can't seem to catch a break where we would get some freedom. Some time to develop a game in peace and really polish it to the end. We are always rushed by dead lines. If we could just catch a big enough break we could breath out a little and make all the sweet features you want. It's all we really do want ourselves.

Battlestation: First Contact got about 6000 downloads and sales of $500 - 1000 on iOS. It cost us about $30 000 to make. We did not get any visibility back then. It was completely dead until now, it has awaken a little bit thanks to Harbinger being out and dragging First Contact up with it

Sorry for the rant. Just enjoy the game

I'm sorry to hear about the rough times, it's unfair when great devs like you don't get the publicity they deserve.

I'm praying that your Kickstarter gets funded! I guess it truly is your "Last Hope" :-(

First of all I am sorry to hear that, I am not at all upset about spending the money on you guys. Actually after your post I went ahead and backed you guys on kickstarter. Your games have a specific feel to it which I really enjoy, I just hoped I could get more out of the game and have different challenges on different levels.

I just wished there was more strategic depth to the game, but I am well aware that probably right now there is no budget to invest in improving the balancing and weapon design.

Focus on the new game and I really hope it will be sold enough to keep you guys afloat!
