Super Trivia Wars [FREE] is out!

Hey!

Our new game, Super Trivia Wars is now available. The game is a superhero themed trivia game where you battle against evil villains over rounds (Street Fighter style) of hopefully witty trivia questions to save the world.

Your hero can choose different power-ups to do things like deal more damage on correct questions, remove wrong answers from the board, freeze the game timer and more. The faster you answer the question the more damage you do to those vile villains.

The villains have powers to and strike back during the round with attacks like covering your screen with goo or throwing an egg in your face where you have to shake the phone or tap repeatedly to remove the effect so you can answer the question.

There are funny cartoon style cut scenes between each round and unlockable bios and secrets.

Like many indie apps we chose to go ad supported with an unlockable upsell once you've experienced the content.

The first opponent asks nothing but sports and cuisine questions, two subjects I know almost nothing about, so after three attempts I just gave up. Kind of off-putting.

That's great. I love that each villain represents a different category, it helps round out my trivia fundamentals.

Did you use your toolbelt powers? You get 3 powers per round (which do things like get rid of 2 answers, freeze time, etc) to help you answer categories you may not be as familiar with.

Each villain has their own specialty categories which are referenced on the bios and the villain intro movies.

Shame the questions are so US-centric. Not good for us Europeans unfortunately. Nice idea though best of luck... If you can do packs for other nations I'm sure you would have more audience.

Yeah, I used the toolbelt powers, but you only get to use them once per match (rather than once per round). So they while they did help me get through a round, they weren't really much help in actually defeating the villain.

I really like the concept and execution of this. I just wish we weren't limited to a single villain to start off with, that way I could try my hand at one that asks something other than questions about food and sports (two subjects I really care nothing about).

Maybe I'm just an oddball, not knowing about cuisine and sports.

I haven't deleted the game. I figure if I play enough rounds the questions will repeat themselves enough that I can move past the first villain. Maybe I'll give it another shot tonight.
