Default Jailbreak?

Hey,

since entering this forum, i keep hearing the word jailbreaking.

i have a legit O2 contract on an iphone 3G, ALL my apps are legit and all purchased by myself.

what advantages will jailbreaking my iphone 3G give me?
what happens when apple release 2.3?
will i lose any of my apps or saved games?
will my iphone be converted to an american iphone which only dials phone numbers such as 555-023-4343 etc?
is it easy to do?

so many questions, little answers to find.

well when you jailbreak your phone it opens up the phone to a wide range of uses that the original phone can't do

these are things it can do:
-- Cut and paste
-- categories ( make your own folder to put apps into )
-- MMS text messaging
-- Video ringtones
-- Video wallpapers
-- Video recording software
-- Qik ( live video streaming to qik.com )
-- Iphone OS tools ( 1 click the phone into safemode, reboot, shutdown, respring, hide icons,
-- Themes ( change the whole look of your phone )
-- Patches ( like safari plug ins for cut and paste, raise volume level )
-- Run apps in the background when you exit them
-- wifi log into your phone to get access to all the files
-- landscape text messaging
-- Games like ( Doom, quake 1, quake 3 )
-- Dtunes ( play downloaded videos and music also its a torrent client )
-- Vibration feedback when typing

Pretty much thats just a small fraction of what you can do

Pretty much anything you wish the phone had a feature to do, you pretty much can do it

when you jailbreak your phone you can always restore the phone back to its original state

everytime they come out with a new update you have to sit tight on your current firmware till they have cracked that firmware then jump on over to the new one

So you don't live in the US?

I have seen a whole bunch of language patched for the phone in different countries

I see you live in english so I did a search and this is what I found

England database for MCallShow which is a callinfo enhancer to show the location dataof the incoming/outgoing call and calllog

do a search for McallShow I think it might be what your talking about

http://www.mcleaner.com/iphone_mcallshow.jsp got here and see if its what you need

is it easy? well just find a good youtube videos and go step by step as they go along with the video

also jailbreaking your phone is not as stable

right now my phone keeps restarting out of the blue for no reason
and my 3G internet stopped working but wifi works

I am on 2.1 firmware and not 2.2, I am being lazy to goto 2.2

Sooner or later the phone will need to be restore cause of all the buggy jailbroken stuff you put on your phone and will have to redo it

I had been running my phone for months before I need to restore it now
