i love playing games that story(or atmosphere) are the main element, not the gameplay per se. Many people don't even take them as games, but interactive fiction. Examples: ace attorney series, telltales games, gamebooks, point and click adventures, to the moon, gone home(last two ones not on iOS, sadly).

Not what I am looking for: complex systems like Baldur's Gate ou unfair puzzle games.

Can you recommend some games along those lines?

2 Games with immersive stories but different approaches

    1) Valiant Hearts - a simple puzzle solving game with an epic and deep story
    2) The Banner Saga - a light RPG/Strategy game, again with a very deep story driving it.

Thanks for the tips. Both are purchased, but I haven't played them, though.

I was under the impression that The Banner Saga have a complicated strategy combat system. Was I wrong?

I am horrible at strategy games.

    Grim Fandango
    Lifeline
    Republique

Some of the best story driven games i have played other than adventure games are RPG games, but i guess you dont like the indepth mechanics in character building and other stuff involved. That said, adventure titles are your best bet.

    Thanks for the tips.

I like those kind of games also, I am just not in the mood right now to complex mechanics.
