Stolen before launch!

We (Itatake.com) will release 99 Rockets (made with Unity) on iOS devices, November 26th but you can already find it on Chinese sites to download for Android and PC. How common is it to be hacked before release? We are planning to release it on Android too, but it feels a bit scary that our game or some kind of copy of it already can be downloaded. Did they get hold of one of our Promo Codes and hacked it? Have anyone else had the same experience?

Hope you will try 99 Rockets out on Thursday (Nov 26) on your iOS devices, do NOT download the Chinese fake thingy

Regards

It's not that common, but it happens. When "Spin Copter" was announced (by the developer of Flappy Bird), there ended up almost immediately being hundreds of fake Spin Copter games showing up in the Android App Store, from people that stole the art and copied the gameplay from his trailer.

Thanks for the input Phil. The wierd thing is that 99 Rockets is not even launched, and yet they got their hands on the game texts from iTunes Connect!?

If they included text that had only ever been uploaded to iTunes Connect, that is deeply disturbing. Are you sure that their text isn't copied from the videos you'd posted announcing the game?
