Enjoying this so far. My game on my iPhone is forcing me to take a break for a few hours (not complaining -- too many good releases lately!). But I started a new game on my iPad and recorded the first few minutes.

I waited so long for this!! already grabbed it and played for a while. The story concept seems interesting! And it plays like Lifeline, with additional MMS-like feature -- they can sometime send you pics!
Overall the UI looks gorgeous, the story seems interesting and I really looking forward what they will bring after this!
But there's this small thing that bugs me a bit...I don't know whether it's because this is my second time playing this genre or anything, but I feel like Lifeline 1 already grabbed me in the first minutes, and I already feel that it was really like communicating with the real person. But here, I already played this for some time but I still feel like the person I'm talking to is fictional. I don't know if it's because of the story concept, or just simply the UI doesn't feel too much like some chat apps, or maybe other reasons. Again, this is maybe the effect of playing this kind of genre for 2nd time, 1st time will always feels like a blast.
Nevertheless, I will play for some days and hope that I could get more and more immersed! Don't let my doubt hold your purchase, this is a great beautiful game!!

I really want to like this game, but it's hard to get immersed in the experience when most of the time you are waiting for something to happen. You play for a couple of minutes then have to wait for 30 minutes to several hours while the other character is offline.

Is the whole thing going to be like this?

Yep, the game mechanic is similar to Lifeline which have some "rest time", but actually for me it's kinda its own unique point which I like! I'm often busy with work, so this game which takes only small chunk of your time kinda suits me -- I can rest a while with playing, get back to work, and excitedly waiting for another news from the other world! you know, that feeling when you nervously waiting for your crush's next message

I wouldn't mind if it was some rest time, but 2 minutes of gameplay (where nothing much happens) followed by 2 hours of waiting is taking the real-time mechanic a bit far.
