Decibel Flight: Control with your Voice!

Gal. proudly presents you Decibel Flight:
A VOICE-CONTROLLED TUNNEL GAME!
*
Decibel Flight is a tunnel game where the player controls a balloon with the his voice. The premise is to reach the end of a level to unlock the next. There 16 levels in total, each with a different theme and difficulty. From jungle to city, from meteorites to volcano, each level is unique!
*
Highscores are defined by the settings: the harder you make it for yourself, the more points you get! In game you can also save your current location, but don't use this function too much, because it affects your highscore...
*
Controls are simple: just scream to push the balloon up, and be as silent as possible to bring it back down. A tap on the left side of the screen saves your spot, a tap on right pauses the game.
*
Decibel Flight is available for 0.99 $.

Could someone explain to be the sudden appearance of these shouty voice-controlled games? Did someone just release a third-party API for them or something? I mean, I thought the premise was too ridiculous and gimmicky to live but the recent spate of these sort of things seems to suggest differently.

Why Scream?

Wouldn't it be more effective and practical to use the pitch of your voice...rather than the volume. Who wants to play a game where they are screaming at their phone like an idiot?

I'd like to watch someone else playing that game.

Well, if you watch somebody else play it, he looks like an idiot, but playing it yourself is real fun. Anyway, it's not really screaming, more like talking, which you can cover by pretending you're making a phone call.
But whats the best part of voice controls is that they're damn accurate, so it's a really enjoyable gaming experience.

First of all, that is way more difficult to program which means less fps and so on, but its also more difficult for the user, cuz the pitch is not as easy to control

Ty for the proposition though, well try to program it to test it out, but it will take some time
