Is it just me or are the borders of the game set in, ala video on a display style.
Seen this one mentioned as a possible work in progress before anyway so happy to be wrong on the observation

"Work on The Binding of Isaac presses on, though. There’s a version coming for iPhone and iPad. Another expansion, Afterbirth+, will add mod support, a bestiary, and more. Chances are, there’ll be some new secrets, too."

Apple just rejected the game. I can't see this making it into the app store.

This is absolute bullshit. Apple seriously need to get their heads out of their asses. The front-page comments that bring up the boy from LIMBO and the Little Sisters from BioShock are spot-on too. No, really...this is effing abysmal.

Ok, so if the dev is reading, here's a suggestion: Mortal Kombat was rejected by Nintendo because it had blood, so devs changed it in such a way that it would not break their rules. The result wasn't 100% ideal, but it kind of worked.

Throughout my years as a gamer, I've seen humans with blood change to zombies for this reason too, and many other adaptations. Some are better, some are worse.

Back to Isaac, isn't there a way to change it without touching too much? i.e.: Isaac is a 30-year old dude who due to genetic experiments on her mum has stayed physically and mentally as a baby. His mum hears voices "finish him, finish the torture of a 30-year old guy who can't evolve and marry a lady, make a family, etc."... I don't know, something completely idiot, but respecting 100% Apple's rules. Sure, it sounds dumb, but it's as dumb as having the game rejected for what it was rejected...

Mortal Kombat 2 has blood and fatalities on SNES, too.

Isn't a disclaimer ("Mature humour" or similar) enough?
iTunes has so many albums with Parental Advisory label...

I'm talking about Mortal Kombat 1. In that one, Nintendo didn't want blood, so the goriest fatalities were changed. Sub Zero freezed and broke the opponent, instead of tearing his head apart with the spinal cord.

I know you were talking about MK1, I mean "Ok, in MK1 there isn't blood, but in MK2 there are blood AND fatalities, on Nintendo's SNES".

Yeap, because after all the problems with MK1, people from Nintendo and MK devs sat together to talk about how to get MK2 with all the gore, and that's when they implemented the PEGI/age system in their games.

Something that apparently is too complicated for Apple to grasp. But just like everything else Apple; their way or the highway. I'm really glad I have Isaac on 3DS and PC, but it would have been amazing having it on iPhone too.

Still, I sincerely hope this doesn't end without a proper fight.
