Pretty cool rts, I like the heroes that fight for you. But overall it's too uninspired and clash of clansy for my taste.

Hi Peeps,

Blowfish Studios did all the development for this game! It is inspired by a few games, but mostly by HoMM since that was a game I played a ton of growing up. The initial game idea was pretty different, but over the 2 years of development it changed to be what it is. That's a bit of a shame, but I imagine Blowfish will do something more like our original idea in the future.

Legend Borne is a fun game though, so I hope you give it an honest go. It's entirely possible to have fun and progress in the game without paying. Timers are there and they get longer, but that's the norm these days anyway.

I will say that DeNA has been a real pleasure to work with. You can see they've done some terrific games (and not so great ones), but they are honestly about trying different things while still trying to keep the games profitable. How else could we all stay in the industry otherwise!

Let me know if you have any questions about the game or development of it!

Cheers,
Ben.

Well, I don't like to bash on indie studios but honestly really can't like what I tried. The artwork, down to the map in the background, is way too close to Warcraft universe.

Gameplay, that's not my type really, but it just feel like any other strategy games on mobile.

Timers, it may be the norm but it doesn't mean it has to be this way.

Games can't be for everyone, that's fine and yes it is a quite standard strategy game for mobile, that is what the publisher wanted and they paid for development.

We are funding our own non-freemium games, but for consoles since people still pay for games there. Unfortunately on mobile things just keep getting worse for most devs. Siegecraft did really well in 2011, Razor Salvation did okay in 2012, Siegecraft Defender did bad in 2013. Obviously all games aren't equal, but I also know many other mobile devs who just make less than $10k on a paid game. It's simply not sustainable for a mobile game dev to make a paid game for the app stores at the moment. I'm sure hoping it changes soon though!

It won't change as long as Devs do what u said above. Sometimes U have to take risks to thrive...sticking to he norm ala freemium will only perpetuate the problem.

Um, ok guys settle down.

I'm really enjoying this title. A lot of innovative little touches. I love how the battle map is an extension of your area, and you gradually uncover more territory.
Also the multiplayer portion being a progression towards stronger hero unlocks is pretty cool.

Runs great on my older device too, well done! Definitely has a different feel to it , so far I'm enjoying it.

Pretty forgiving on the premium currency too (gems). I find them on the map all the time, and you can actually build a gem mine as a resource collector.

Don't understand the hate, this one is worthy of a fair shot.

For the Darkness!!!
