App description: The Tower Defence from Exal-Studios is a new kind of Tower Defence.
Greater freedom is the key.
The aim of the game is to prevent your enemies from reaching the blue spiral.Your job is to build a maze to slow them down so that they spend as long as possible under the fire of your cannons and can be finally destroyed before they reach their destination.
You cannot block the screen with a definitive wall. The game will always detect the placement of a block that closes the wall and will prevent it. This means that there is always a passage to enable your enemies to reach the blue spiral...
This is a real Open Field Tower Defence. This means that each game starts with a completely open field. Its up to you to build your own maze. Its up to you to develop your own strategy.
You can build your maze with very inexpensive green blocks on a screen surface expanded to its maximum by the removal of all borders.
You can move your blocks and cannons at any time, simply using your finger.
Do you need to sell objects or make some space on the screen? No problem. Simply move the block or cannon to the blue spiral and the object will be sold and will disappear from the screen.
In this way you manage your assets as you see fit: cannons and blocks as well as your own space.
You can build with the green blocks, upgrade your cannons, sell them, move them, but also and above all replace your cannons as your assailants grow stronger.
There are countless possible strategies: lots of small cannons cheap but not very powerful or just a few expensive but very powerful cannons. The choice is yours!Whats more, you can also change your mind during the game....You start the game with three cannons that can all be upgraded.
The game is designed for maximum suspense.
You will not be disappointed.
Give it a try!
And there is one more challenge: if you score more than 500 points, you can win the superb Puzzle software for the whole family with 80 high-quality images for Mac or PC that you can download from the exal-studios.com website.

Overall, not great.......

There has been so many TD games to come out over the last couple of weeks and this one does not set itself apart. The $.99 is nice, but compared to the content and production value you get in some of the others it still doesn't make it worth it. It is an open TD which I like and was the only reason why I decided to get it, but the content is lacking and there is no polish at all. The touch interface and tower placement is awkward and there is only 3 towers. You can't touch a tower to upgrade; you have to drag the tower to the top right corner to an upgrade icon. The enemies come out one after the other with no real seperation between waves. This makes it especially hard to prepare any effective defenses. The one thing I did like, is the fact that you can move a tower after it's already placed. But that's not enough. You can allow a total of 20 "cyborgs" to get past your defenses before it's game over, but you have to find that out after it's too late, because the counter goes up from 0 to 20. Not down to zero. The enemies themselves are kind of cool in the art department, but are pretty hard to kill. Overall, I'd say no to this, I wouldn't buy it again, and I plan on deleting tonight....Hope that helps.
