Myquest: Rise of the hunter + Lite

This is my first topic ... try to search but couldn't find anything related to above game ..

I got to knew this game via Pandorabox, but couldn't find it in Malaysia Store ..

Look very nice though ... they called it interactive adventure, but from the screenshot, it looks like a storybook but with RPG elements ..

I don't know how to post the details .. but really I am waiting for this game to be released in Malaysia .. that's why I open this topic hoping that the dev is one of the forumner ..

anyway maybe some of you might want to try this game first and review it .. it's only 99c ..

in someway, I also want to know, should I stop or keep waiting ..

Thanks ..

It's basically a classic-style 'choose your own adventure' or Fighting Fantasy style book, with somewhat more traditionally RPG-ish equipment and combat screens and generally high production values.

It's also totally worth the $1 if you like fighting fantasy type stuff. I really hope they do more in the series, because this is a helluva start.

Hey .. Thanks skyye06 for the details ..

and yes Dominic Hunter, from the description and from the reply, I am already a fan ..

Is there any way we can get the dev to release this game in country specific store? That does bother me actually .. why some good stuff is not being released internationally ..

I'm missing this, civilization, MGS ..

The iPhone really lends itself well to Choose Your Own Adventure and Visual Novel type stuff. I've seen a ton of Japanese VN's on the system, but almost none have english versions out, and this is pretty much the only CYOA I've seen so far.

It's sad, because they're perfectly suited for mobile play, especially as you can just have it autosave every page/turn.

MyQuest is really fun. You read a story and choose what you want to do at the end of each section.

If you make a choice that involves combat, you'll face a mini-combat game against an enemy. You choose to attack with a light or heavy attack or you can dodge or use an item. To continue in on the story, you must defeat the enemy without running out of HP.

Of course, if you're low on HP you can use a potion in your inventory.

There are magic mini-games and alchemy mini-games as well.

All-in-all, very high production value. It's never crashed on me, and rumor has it, the game has 3 different endings.
