I'm tempted to bite but I saw in a demo that the music is the exact same as...some other kemko game, probably the same series. The music is fine, but it hit a nervethe feeling that I'm just playing the same game over again with different skins. After playing FF9, it's hard to go to a kemko game.

The TA review was pretty positive, though. Can anyone speak to the crafting system?

The artist might be the same but I could've sworn the art (or at least the character design) in the last Revenant game looked a lot better. Not sure what happened here. These look like characters from the Alphadia series - which are closer to 80s styled protags. I was kind of hoping Kemco would stop using those same types of characters.

Even though I loved the last Revenant game I'll have to pass on this. Character design is unfortunately something I get really hung up on.

TOP5: Chaos Rings 3 / Monster Hunter Freedom Unite / The World Ends With You / Kingdom Rush Series / Implosion

The review makes it pretty clear how this works between the free and premium version.

Pay to remove ads and get some of the extra currency (also earnable in game), or buy more. The review says the game is balanced to play for free, no iap hurdles.

Kemco's RPGs have been "Premium" with IAP currency for the last four years or so. The only new thing here is that there's a free version with ads. The currency is only useful if you want to cheat, and you 100% do not need to cheat in this game to beat it.

Some of these comments are really asinine. I feel for these poor souls that must have gotten drop kicked as a child or something.

Anyway, Shaun - your review summed it up pretty well. Anyone familiar with Kemco, the formula hasn't changed. For me, that's a good thing because I like their formula. This is not Final Fantasy, but you're also not paying that premium price either. It's a fun little game with likeable characters and a familiar but enjoyable battle system. Nothing groundbreaking, but that's not a bad thing. Not every game has to be a 4* culinary masterpiece. Sometimes, you just want to go to Sizzler's.
