Never been good at rhythm games but something about this one made me want to try. Kind of like a rave. Guitar hero meets drums Killing enemies to the beat. I like this game and like how it gives u a percent of people who u have beat TheGreatEscaper Well-Known Member Oct 10, 2014 1,025 22 38 #4 TheGreatEscaper, Apr 22, 2016 Last edited by a moderator: Apr 22, 2016 It's a fun game although I wouldn't quite put it in the rhythm category as the game doesn't actually seem to match up fully with the beats of the BGM. Essentially it's like a guitar hero variant where you press on columns at the right times. Pressing columns can either damage advancing enemies or damage the level boss. It's a fairly simple mechanic but later on you need to do a bit of split second planning when enemies health increases and there are different kinds of bombs that you can use to your advantage. In between rounds you are given the choice between a few different upgrades for different weapon types, potions, etc. that appear during the game. It's a pretty neat simple touch to keep things interesting. It doesn't always register some upgrades though (I upgraded horizontal bomb and the next time the upgrade appeared i was still on standard damage), dev might want to look into that. I think it's endless, but enemy formations etc. seem to be nicely hand designed, which is always good. Good to pick up and play. bobdos Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2015 98 0 0 #5 bobdos, Apr 22, 2016 Last edited by a moderator: Apr 22, 2016 Thanks a lot for your feedback. Still pretty fun, with a cool upgrade system. Mrbestapps Well-Known Member Dec 9, 2015 233 1 18 #9 Mrbestapps, Apr 22, 2016 It's a nice game but after playing the battle mode for almost 30 minutes then dying and starting from the VERY beginning. I could not help but feel a bit dissapointed. The game is pretty easy meaning you play for a long long time before failing. You should make it much harder so it's more casual for quick plays. Survival mode seems to be like any music game and it isn't very enjoyable. I really like the battle mode but it needs a save mode or needs to be harder. I really enjoyed the concept but it does need a harder mode and some work needs to be done. Quite original I'll give it a 7/10. Mrbestapps Well-Known Member Dec 9, 2015 233 1 18 #10 Mrbestapps, Apr 22, 2016 Game has a huge protential and with some work, it's an easy 10/10 from me. But currently survival lasts way too long and it's way too easy. Survival should have a check point every 10 levels and maybe boss? Galois Well-Known Member Oct 11, 2010 53 0 0 #11 Galois, Apr 22, 2016 I'm enjoying it quite a bit. As others have mentioned, the music doesn't quite line up with the taps needed, but it's a fun game. I really like the music and graphics, and have sunk a few hours into it, getting a little better each time. I would recommend it. Divorced Member Oct 22, 2014 16 0 0 California #12 Divorced, Apr 23, 2016 Fun game easy to waste time with, i just feel like there is no end game for survival. I can go forever, but once I get to a certain point I get bored with no progression. Definitely prefer battle mode feeling like I'm moving froward. Definitely needs some harder difficulties though. bobdos Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2015 98 0 0 #13 bobdos, Apr 23, 2016 Thanks a lot for your feedback. bobdos Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2015 98 0 0 #14 bobdos, Apr 23, 2016 We appreciate your feedback, and we'll keep going. bobdos Well-Known Member Jun 28, 2015 98 0 0 #15 bobdos, Apr 23, 2016 Your feedback is very very important for us, and we'll figure out a better way to handle the "save mode" and "harder mode". And while the music indeed does not quite go with the rhythm, i definitely would like to have a music loudness option (slider). It would make a huge difference to hear and tap to well heard sfx sounds. Though the (too) easy levels are rather on the short side, i miss a pause option. Here is really a very nice rhythm game under the hood, but it needs a quite big overhaul, imho. Oh, and if you do testing, please don't let your friends and family help.
