Cocoto Kart Online theres only three karts type this is the best one edit: i forgot about Shrek Kart get this now its only a $1 than buy shrek kart which will cost $7
Crash Nitro Kart was one of the first games. The music is low quality but nice, the graphics are equal to a PSP, and it will last you a long time. 10/10 Cro Mag, also an early game, has stellar graphics, amazing music, but no career mode will leave it on the last pages of your iPod. Still fun to pick up and play now and then though. 7.5/10 Cocoto Kart, a new game, has great graphics and sound, but it might be too hard for some people. It has multiplayer though, and it's a very good game. 9/10 I'd get CBNK3D, then Cocoto Kart, then Cro Mag, and then get Krazy Kart and Shrek Kart when they come out.
Yep. Totally agreed. Online Multiplayer is the way to go, even if you're like me and wonder what a Cocoto is. XD
IMO, none of them even come close. And Cocoto's online play, while flawless, was a bit of a lackluster experience.
I wrote a whole deathmatch of the Kart Racers on my site (link in my sig) and also posted it in User Reviews. Here's the link of it in User Reviews: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=28953
And your point is...? I don't own a DS or a Wii, not interested in buying either. Cocoto and Shrek Kart are both fun games that compare very well with other games on the platform. Why shouldn't someone want to play them? Because there's a better version of the concept on another plaform? Please...
Well, I can understand his point of view. I play Mario Kart Wii almost almost daily since 19 months, and moreover I got Mario Kart 64 on my Wii (Virtual Console). So there was no need for me to buy games like Konami Krazy Kart, Crash Nitro Kart 3D or Cro-Mag Rally. They just can't compete at all with Mario Kart. Nontheless, if the price, the functionality, the support or the community is right, a kart racer can make a lot of sense on the iPhone. I don't regret buying Cocoto Kart, for example. I paid 79 cent for over 17 hours of gameplay (until now). I played it longer than most of my Wii games. And Shrek Kart looks better than a DS game, for an eigth of the price.
I have no problem with the idea that kart racers are much better developed in Nintendo platforms -- they invented the genre (or might as well have), so it's not surprising. My issue is with the smug "if it's not on Nintendo it's crap" attitude. Cocoto Kart is one my favorite games right now, a Shrek is surprisingly good; both are certainly worthwhile, even if better games in the genre exist on different platforms.
