This is a strange game about a villager feeding and fighting off wild animals trying to attack the village. The enemy animals come from the top of the screen in waves and make their way towards the bottom where the village is. You have unlimited stones or food to feed and throw at them (depending on what level or wave your dealing with.) There are 2 control options in the game, accelerometer or touch. You can switch them at any point you'd like, even during the game by a button at the bottom of the screen. To feed or attack animals when using the touch controls you just tap while being directly in front of them(a straight line) or if you choose the accelerometer controls you thrust your idevice forward to throw at them. You can only move your villager left or right, swiping with the touch controls or tilting left and right when choosing the accelerometer controls. I think the game should have included a control option where you can move the villager from side to side with the accelerometer and tap to throw, a combination of both of the control methods, instead of just 2 options of pure touch controls or pure accelerometer controls. The reason for this is moving the villager is easier with the accelerometer and throwing the food or attack object is easer done by tapping.
At the bottom of the screen is the village and also a damage meter. For every animal that reaches the bottom of the screen and attacks, the damage meter will deplete a little. The village also has a mood meter displayed in text, basically when you're doing good it says "happy" or "smiles", and if you're getting attacked it says "moody" or "cry." There is a progress reading at the bottom of the screen as well that tells you what % of the wave/level you have completed while you're playing.
The gameplay is fun, not incredible but pretty good. You can only throw objects forward so you have to be perfectly aligned up with the animals to attack or feed, it would be nice if the game had a slight aim assist so you dont have to be perfectly aligned. Occasionally, a rain or thunder object will fall from the top of the screen, if you catch rain it will briefly make it rain on the screen and this will slow down the animals, if you catch thunder it will make it thunder and clear all the animals on the screen.
The game appears to be put together nicely, the presentation is good and the theme is odd but it works. There is a diverse variety of wild animals in the game. Graphics are decent but the animals are a bit small. Great sounds and partial background music create a fitting atmosphere for the game.
Overall this is a pretty good game, surprisingly. I honestly wasn't expecting much from it, but it works. I recommend it for anyone who thinks it looks interesting, and the dev should consider releasing a lite version so anyone still debating whether to get it or not can see what its all about.
