★ TouchArcade is in READ ONLY mode this weekend while we upgrade. Please support us on Patreon.
App description: At the core of the martial arts lies simplicity, and focus. Stick-Fu, the martial arts fighting game featuring animated stick figures, embodies this principle. Take on waves of faceless enemies, dodging around and between them and then using your brutal combo moves to take them down for good. The simplicity of your stick-man avatar opens up a world of combat precision, in which each move must be timed for the perfect kill.

This app offers in-app purchases. You may restrict in-app purchasing using your device settings.

Though your controls are simple, theres plenty of room to shine in this adrenaline-fuelled side-scrolling fighter. Watch the clear animated lines of your enemies to read their next move, anticipate it, and respond before theyre ready for your attack. Take them out, before they can mob around you and put you down for good! Think youve got the hang of it? Then get ready for each levels Big Boss, who will test your skills to the limit!

While enemies are stunned, take them out for good to claim bonus power-ups, with different effects depending on the colour of the enemy. Then, while youre super-powered and mowing through your attackers, rack up the hits to activate your lethal combo moves, which feature sweet animated flying and spinning kicks as well as weapons from staves to katanas to shotguns!

Buff up your stats after each level, spending Skill Points to improve your health, agility and power. Play to your strengths, and build up your stick-figure from a scared weakling to a fly-kicking badass! Save your progress between play sessions, so that you can make it through the truly gruelling bosses!

Fight until you can fight no more! Cause in STICK-FU, the fight never ends...

I spent some time with this game over the weekend and I really like it. It's sort of like Double Dragon lite with stick figures. The graphics are simple but look good, the animation is very fluid, and some of the power ups look pretty slick. I'm not really sure how "long" the game is because I've only made it to level 9, but you basically revisit 5 environments over and over again, so from that perspective it could quite possibly be limitless. The controls work pretty well, though it did seem at times that the game wasn't responsive when I double-tapped to do a dodge move. However, it could have just been me. Sometimes with controls it's hard saying. I really would like to see some sort of finite adventure mode with a definitive goal, but overall I quite enjoyed the game. I'll be posting a full review soon, which I won't link to here because I'm not supposed to (just check my signature ) I would definitely recommend this game, though, especially if you're into those stick figure kung-fu videos that were posted on the web a few years back.
