this game is actually pretty awesome! it takes all the old school console game mini games like Donkey kongs minecart level! or flappy bird, or the Barrels from Donkey Kong etc... its a crossyroadish platformer mashup that has timed rooms that speed up , all handled well... its free give it a go.

Wow, this game is near perfection. about Endless Runners I always critize that they are too repetitive. I didn't liked Crossy Roads because the only thing you can Unlock are boring characters. Rooms Of Doom is so awesome because there is a level System, Skill based Characters and every Room plays different. It's a great Idea to make an Endless Runner based of Minigames.

This could be the First Mobile Game which never gets boring when there are always coming new Rooms with New Updates

I can echo the positive statements but as with most runners, the first levels get too easy once you figured it out, an option to skip them e.g. In exchange for coins, would be very appreciated.

I played this for a while and I agree, it's quite well done. Looking forward to combining some of these crazy creatures to see what they do. The game gives little hints about how to unlock special characters which is cool.

Is anyone else getting "Not Ranked" in the Game Center leaderboard? I'm guessing I'm still in the tutorial section (although I've put a good amount of time in) and that's why? Also, It would be icing on the cake if achievements were added.

Definitely surprised this thread hasn't gotten a little more action...

I've been playing this the past few days and really, really enjoying it. I definitely think it gets better the more you play: at first, you only start off with a couple of minions and rooms, which limits how often you can play and the variety of what you'll be doing. But once you unlock enough minions to play freely and enough rooms that you don't see the same ones again and again, it picks up.

There's tons to unlock and upgrade: your score on each run contributes to unlocking new types of rooms (e.g. get a new room after you earn 3,000 points total) although what room you get is random. If you unlock a room you already have, it will upgrade to spawn higher value coins on future runs. Coins are used to create new minions, which are also awarded randomly. If you get the same type of minion, you'll either upgrade its score bonus or get a new skin for it, and every minion has five different skins available to collect. Monetization feels completely optional: watch a video for extra coins (you earn plenty just by playing), watch a video to continue a run if you die (one time only and optional), and pay directly to purchase a specific minion (but you can win any minion--including the epic ones--from the lottery).

But I think what really makes this game for me are all the little details they've included that just really scream "polish!" Every room has a different death animation, so if you die in the spider room you get covered in webs or if you die in the piranha tank you get chewed into a skeleton. The backgrounds are full of little details, including Dr. Doom randomly hiding in each room (he doesn't always appear, but when he does it's very "Where's Waldo"-esque). Minions with immunities to certain rooms gain bonus points from hitting those obstacles, creating even more variety in the gameplay. The doorways between each room not only provide a short breather and a hint of what's coming next, but they have silly little action statements like "high-fiving, brain washing," etc. Each skin has a different name, so "cat-in-cat" becomes "pussy-in-panther," for instance. Minions have different running animations and quirks: when flying, mon-key uses a Superman pose. If matchstick man enters an underwater level, his flame goes out and stays out for the next two rooms. And it's just very seamless in an almost cinematic way, sort of how Jetpack Joyride was designed: runs start with your minion bursting out of their tank and running straight into the first room; if you choose the first room of a run you actually punch it into place next to the starting point; even though every run is different and there are different room shapes, the layouts feel cohesive. Things like these turn this from a good game to a great one for me.
