Cuttlefish engine

Anybody know anything about this? I see nothing has been mentioned in here yet.

The Cuttlefish Engine is a cross-platform game engine and game designer for iPhone, G1, and Blackberry. The idea is that you make your game using a GUI, and then the engine generates the code for that game. Build for the iPhone with your developer key, and you’re ready for upload to the App Store. Same idea for the other two platforms.
Note: I have nothing to do with this engine. Just saw it while Googling for iPhone engines I've not seen yet.

I didn't try it, but engines that write the code for you are usually not the best choice to create something valuable.

Looks "interesting". We'll have to wait and see if anything really comes of it. I knew a guy that promised an awesome full-featured indie editor/engine for years! He even had really pretty screenshots that made it look like it did something, but when you tried to do more than simple movement of sprites or putting up a background, the whole thing fell apart.

I'll keep an eye out, though...

I would agree. If you don't code anything yourself that means you can't tweak or optimize, and that's a road to ruin on a mobile device.
